This is the ongoing work that keeps a property looking looked-after. We mow and edge, keep the beds clean, and shape the shrubs and borders so the lines of the yard stay crisp. Along the way we notice the small things — a struggling patch of grass, a shrub crowding a walkway — and deal with them before they become something you have to fix. A yard that gets steady attention simply looks better than one that gets rescued.
Yards accumulate. Leaves, fallen limbs, spent growth and whatever the weather has left behind all build up until the property starts to look neglected even when it is not. We come through and clear it out, cut back what needs cutting back, and leave the beds and lawn ready for the next stretch of the year. It is the reset that makes the regular upkeep worth doing.
Not everything that needs doing outside a house is landscaping. Gutters fill, siding and walkways dull, fences and posts loosen, and outdoor fixtures start to look tired. We take on that assortment of work while we are already on the property, which spares you the trouble of finding somebody for each small job. Keeping up with them is what keeps them from turning into repairs.
